Service Description

When: 6-week course starting Monday, January 27 @ 6:30pm Where: Weston Community Center Cost: $195 non-member, $175 member For more information on membership: https://www.crdtc.org/membership Instructor: Ronni Dalton, assisted by Susan Stock For dogs and handlers who are interested in participating/competing in various dog sports. We will focus on practicing exercises, and preparing to go into the ring. You must pre-register for this course. Additional information: - Dogs and handlers must have experience training with their dog, and are interested in competing. - For all classes, please wait outside until the instructor comes to let in the group. - Please potty your dog before class and pick up after your dog. Buckets will be available to dispose of waste. All dog sports require a commitment as a team for you and your dog to work together. A strong connection and awareness of the task is where you find success. In this class we will work to strengthen your commitment and understanding of the requirements to successfully compete. Subjects we will cover - Specific exercises you need to know to compete - Introduction and discussion of the exercises you need to know - Breaking down the various exercises into segments for teaching - Proper positioning of you and your dog - Ring entry - Moving between exercises - What are the rules - How to make training with your dog enjoyable for both of you.
